Blunt message
A banner hanging outside a church in one of the more notorious suburbs of Port Moresby reads in part: “From former raskols to raskols: Enough is enough! Jesus is coming.” Amen.
Clean city
Another banner hanging on the roadside at Erima in Port Moresby reminds people to keep the city clean by not spitting. Maybe it should add “no littering” too.
Search request
A man remanded over a rape charge has asked the court to allow him to do a search at the court registry because he suspects that his file have been “tampered with” by adversaries.
No jobs
Sadly some of those who graduated last week will have to join the unemployment queue as they will not be able to find jobs straightaway. Frustrating for them.
Food for thought
Remember that you use 43 muscles when you frown, but only 17 when you smile. So smile more.
Quote of the day
“We have many cases pending in the National Court. In Buimo Prison, a suspect has been listed for trial for the past seven years. Unfortunately he can’t be (tried) because he is believed to be mentally retarded. And there are no psychiatrists to check him.” – Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika.
