Hello Pukpuk
The PM received a rousing welcome in Wewak town yesterday. A 3m crocodile also escorted him as he entered the Somare stadium. Not a real crocodile though. It was a guy dressed in a crocodile suit of course. Looked real to the naked eye.
Good PMV
Route 9 buses completed their Gerehu to Boroko route yesterday morning – much to the surprise of passengers. That’s because the men in blue were stationed at the Waigani market bus stop to make sure PMV drivers behaved.
Iron Man suit
Iron man lovers, there is a special suit on sale to relive the real life movie experience of flying in the air. Invented by Richard Browning, the K1.3 million worth suit is powered by five mini jet engines. The suit weighs 27kg without fuel, has a cruising speed of 32mph. The catch is that it can fly for up to nine minutes at a time. That is nine minutes of iron man ecstasy.
Olam up
PNG’s favourite son Justin Olam is currently having a real breakout season for the Storms. Interestingly the Chimbu man represented the Kumuls before playing even one game of semi or professional rugby league. And the guy also has a physics degree from Unitech as well.

“When a person is found in possession of a pack of marijuana and is convicted by the court and ordered to serve one year in prison, he comes back and will still commit the same offence because the penalty of one year is not long enough,” Officer in charge of the prosecution section at the Tabubil police station Sgt Stella Warmanai.
