Women’s Day
Tomorrow is International Women’s Day. Little if anything to celebrate here, especially with the shelving of the plan to allocate five reserved parliamentary seats for them. Only seven women MPs so far – after 47 years of independence!
Singer Putin
A video of Russian president Vladamir Putin singing the popular classic Blueberry Hill is going viral. Nice voice, but cannot say the same about his leadership style/quality.
Punch in arm
Colleague, after receiving the booster shot on Friday, winced in pain after being accidentally punched on the arm by a relative. And he is walking around like he broke a collar bone.
Sports discrimination
Australian and NZ teams which won their Super Rugby Pacific matches last weekend were given live post-match interviews. Alas, not the two Pacific island teams. One beat an Australia side and the other gave the champions Crusaders a run for their money. Sad.
Thought for today
You can never be happy if you are trapped in the past and fearful of the future. Living in the present in the only way to be happy.
