Husband’s surname
Married women who never use their husband’s surname are not being disrespectful or arrogant. Adopting the husband’s surname is neither traditional nor is it in the Bible. It was introduced during the colonial government days, for some reason.
Woman power
Our women face serious challenges of gender discrimination and bias at the work place, at home or because of long-standing cultural attitudes. So PNG, let us promote justice, equality and the empowerment of our women.
