Channel change
Rugby league fans at a popular watering hole in Port Moresby on Saturday went berserk when the manager switched the channel to air the All Blacks-Ireland rugby union clash around 5pm. And it was just before the Broncos-Cowboys game! Union over league? Crowd went mad.

Ardent rugby fan spent yesterday in bed – after the big “feast” of international matches he watched on Saturday: Australia A vs Samoa, Tonga vs Fiji, All Blacks vs Ireland, Wallabies vs England, Argentina vs Scotland, South Africa vs Wales. Certainly more than he could chew.
No taxi
The drivers of two locally-owned taxi companies operating out of the Jackson airport base in Port Moresby had a fight last week, resulting in the closure of the taxi base by the National Airport Corporation. Arriving passengers will have to walk right up to the main road to catch a cab. So inconvenient.
Forgot to study
Teacher: Why is your answer paper blank?
