Ignored again
Neighbours Australia and other Pacific nations have a special ministry for women. Not PNG though. We continue to ignore our mothers, sisters, aunts, daughters who make up almost half of our population. So sad.
Blank space
The list of cabinet ministers released by PM Marape has a blank space in front of “Minister for Bougainville Affairs”. Who, we wonder, will get it? The ever-busy rumour machine is already into overdrive.
New faces
Indeed, nothing is more noble or venerable than loyalty.
Nine new faces in the 33-member Marape Cabinet, plus 23 retained from the last line-up, with a minister to look after Bougainville Affairs yet to be named.
Vice-ministers
Of course, there will be vice-ministers named in due course to assist the 33 ministers. Unity in the coalition camp must remain intact. It is so vital.
To forgive
Friday is of course national repentance day. A time to repent your wrongs and forgive those who wronged you. (There is also a NRL game at night that you may want to watch. And you will be forgiven if you believe that the Eels will win, and strengthen their top-eight placing).
Food for thought
You will find happiness every time you stop comparing yourself to other people. Try it. It works!
Top quote
“The greatest demonstration of our government’s priority is in the make-up of Cabinet. Various ministries will deliver outcomes which are of the highest priority.” – Prime Minister James Marape.
