Cabinet list
So many prime ministers in our midst, making known on social media the names of Cabinet members PM Marape will announce today. Nothing better to do, these mischief-makers.
Silent MP
And by the way, our former leader of the opposition is keeping everyone guessing of which side of the fence he will be sitting. Confidential stuff.
Teenage worry
Girl who turned 13 last week told her family she did not want to be called a teenager. She also did not want to see “Happy 13th birthday” on the cake. She preferred “Happy 12 years 12 months’ birthday”.
More allowance
Come to think of it, not everyone is disappointed with the deferrals of the deadline for the return of writs. The longer the exercise takes, the more allowances officials get. A big smile all the way to the bank.
Repentance Day
From in-house pastor: Spend the public holiday on Friday contemplating how to repent: Admit to yourselves that you have sinned, feel sorrow for your sins, forsake your sins, confess your sins, forgive others. Make this important public holiday spiritually fulfilling for thee.
Risk of chewing
A doctor explained to a group of MPs in Parliament yesterday about the health risks in chewing betel-nut, which they should relay to people in their constituencies right away.
Fess up
A video going viral shows policemen telling a young man they caught smoking marijuana to fess up and vow he will not do it again. He did, and even promised them he will change his ways and go to church more often.
Food for thought
Do not let yourself be controlled by three things: your past, people and money.
Top quote
“There have been so many postings on social media of fake Cabinet line-ups. (Do not) peddle fake news, nor believe everything posted on social media as gospel. I will announce the Cabinet line-up early tomorrow (today) and the rationale of the new structure.” – Prime Minister James Marape.
