Cleary-Fittler combo
No one is saying much about why NSW Blues coach Brad Fittler needed Panthers coach Ivan Cleary sitting beside him in the box during SOO3 last Wednesday. Perhaps an adviser of sorts.
Post mortem
For some, the post-mortem for the SOO3 will take a little longer given that performance by the Blues and what it could mean for the 2024 SOO games.
Second coming
The second coming of Eddie Jones as the Wallabies coach has started with two losses to the Springboks and Pumas on two consecutive weekends. Then he has to face the All Blacks next week. Not what he planned obviously.
Throw up
Colleague threw up his hands in frustration when the power went off just as he was settling in to watch a series of top level rugby matches on Saturday. Then the water supply was cut off too. Mercy!
Potholes fixed
Thanks goodness the potholes at the Erima and ATS roundabouts in Port Moresby have finally been fixed. Of course, the big test will come the when the next heavy rain falls.
Solar power
So much sunshine yet many people ignore using solar energy as an alternative source of power – given the daily power cuts they have to endure.
Thought for today
Do not compare your life to others. There is no comparison between the sun and moon. They shine when it is their time.
Good quote
“This (joint venture) will secure PNG’s economy forever. The country’s fisheries industry is much bigger than Porgera gold mine, Wafi gold mine, PNG LNG.” – Prime Minister James Marape.
