More changes
Something seems to be brewing in the corridors of power, to allow coalition partners more say in the government, especially the National Alliance and United Resources parties. Interesting times ahead.
Not devaluation
Any devaluation on the Kina as some commentators have been hinting will only hurt ordinary citizens. Prices will increase overnight and the value of investments will be badly dented. So hands off.
At least a win
Brisbane Broncos fans have something to celebrate after all – a back-to-back win by the women’s team for the National Rugby League Women’s title. They defeated St George Illawarra 30-6 in emphatic fashion in the grand final on Sunday at the ANZ Stadium.
Power surges
Someone please remind PNG Power that regular power surges can damage electrical appliances at home such as the fridge and television. The now frequent power cuts in Port Moresby are really irritating. Everything had been fine before that Blacklock lady left PNG.
Missed tackle
Wallabies fullback Kurtley Bealey commented on Twitter that there was not much to tackle when a male streaker ran onto the field at the Oita Stadium during the World Cup match against Uruguay on Sunday. “He got me good… he caught me by surprise. All of a sudden I felt something come over my left shoulder and he came up and he spooked me.” The man escorted himself back to the stand when no security officers bothered.

Today’s thought
“When a bird is alive, it eats ants. When it dies, ants eat it. One tree can be made into million matchsticks but only one match is needed to burn a million trees. Circumstances can change at any time. Don’t hurt or look down on people. You may be powerful today, but time is more powerful than you.”
