THE Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) commissioner-general Sam Koim has identified a number of deficiencies together with numerous reviews done on the services that IRC provides to taxpayers, according to the commission.
IRC, in a statement yesterday, said Koim initiated a taxpayer services strategy project team to review existing services and recommend changes to improve the level of service the IRC provided to taxpayers.
“The main objective of the taxpayer services strategy project is to improve taxpayer voluntary compliance,” IRC said.
“The TPS strategy project team have concluded two days of meetings with selected external stakeholders at Revenue Haus.
“The main focus of the meetings was to get feedback on the services IRC provides to taxpayers and how this can be improved.
“A strategy is expected to be submitted at the end of June 2020 and enhancements will be made progressively over the next two years.
“Four sessions were held over a two-day period with multiple stakeholders.”
