THE National Economic and Fiscal Commission will be conducting its 2016 Momase regional workshop in Madang this week.
The workshop will bring together provincial administration heads to discuss reforms of the budget, spending and reporting.
It will ensure that funding to provinces by the Government was spent on service delivery activities.
“These basic service delivery activities are the minimum priority activities, such as maintenance of rural health facilities, distribution of drugs to the rural health facilities, distribution of schooling materials to the schools, upgrading of rural roads, and extension training for rural farmers,” commission chairman Hohora Suve said.
Suve said the five provinces to participate would be East Sepik, West Sepik, Madang, Morobe and Eastern Highlands.
He said Eastern Highlands would be included with the Momase provinces because they were not able attend the Highlands region meeting due to the student protest there last month.
