Community to address violence

National

MORATA residents made a commitment yesterday to work with the Population Services International (PSI) to address gender-based violence collectively as a community.
The PSI is a non-government organisation whose programmes target such violence.
It is their pilot project to work closely with Morata Suburb residents by involving them in their programmes to advocate against gender based violence.
Through this project partnership, residents of Morota will adopt the Start, Awareness, Support and Action (SASA), a primary prevention method, focused on mobilising everyone to prevent violence against women, girls and children in their community through a process of behaviour change.
