TELECOMMUNICATIONS company, Vodafone PNG recently donated school supplies to the Rob & Jean Patterson Learning Centre (RJPLC) at Siraka, Gerehu Stage 7, Port Moresby.
Representatives from Vodafone accompanied by Vodafone’s sponsorship manager Charmaine ToRobert, visited the school to personally deliver the supplies.
ToRobert expressed in a statement the company’s commitment to supporting the local community and academic institutions.
“Education is the cornerstone of progress and, at Vodafone, we believe in the power of connectivity to uplift communities.
This donation is a small step in ensuring that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has access to quality education,” she said.
The donation came after an appeal made by the school to the telecommunication company for much needed white board and accessories.
“We thank our good friends at the Operation Food for Life organisation for connecting us (Vodafone PNG) with this school and we look forward to many more partnerships like this one,” ToRobert said.
