BADILI Hardware Ltd (BHL) is trading as normal although fewer customers are visiting its branches in Port Moresby and Lae.
Chief executive officer Siva Raman said Covid-19 was having a huge impact on the operations.
“We are doing our best to cope with this situation as a responsible corporate entity,” he said.
“We do employ many number of Papua New Guineans.
“We treat our staff as part of our family at all times.
“Hence during this testing period, we are also distributing food hampers to all our staff in Port Moresby and Lae,
“This is not an isolated act, as we do distribute food hampers multiple times in a year and on special occasions too.
“We also have corporate social responsibility programmes (such as) donations of essential supplies in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake in the Highlands and the blood donation camps we have for many years now.”
Raman said BHL supplied products to Eda Ranu, Water PNG and PNG Power directly.
“We strongly feel it is absolutely essential that we keep supporting the country’s essential services to operate during this crisis,” he said.
