BORNEO Pacific Pharmaceuticals Ltd had used its own money to bring into the country the first 25 containers of medical kits this week, says Health and HIV/Aids Minister Sir Puka Temu.
The company was awarded a K57.7 million contract last July to procure medical supply kits for the 1600 health facilities around the country.
“We haven’t provided the entire funding to Borneo to bring this entire supplies,” he said.
“I am very satisfied with Borneo Pharmaceutical’s performance.”
Sir Puka said four local companies from the four regions would distribute the medical kits. Their names will be revealed next week.
He urged the distributors to think and perform as part of the health sector network and not only as business operators.
