Competition heating up as players start to find range

President Nigel Kiaka says the Huon Darts Association’s competition is becoming tougher, with players from all teams starting to find their range.
“The games are now more competitive than they were in the earlier rounds,” he said.
“The top teams in the competition will have to play harder to maintain their position.”
Kiaka comments came after the association had its round four matches over the weekend.
Sergeant Gold making light work of Sergeant Green to win 10-3.
Gold collected their points through Tom Kogowa — who is also the association coordinator — in the team game.
The first through to the fourth double were Lahui Tamarua, Tule Francis and Peterson Laveliu.
Green retaliated by securing their first point through Elias Jubille’s double, but Gold continued their dominance through Lean Jem who won their last double.
Green managed to collect a further two points through Elias Jubillee and Eki Rocky.
However, Gold put the match beyond doubt when Tule Francis, Peterson Laveliu, Regina Kogowa and Lean Jem collected a point each in singles matches.
In the other matches, Sappers 1 held out Hauslain31 7-4, Sapper 2 beat Officers 8-5 and Post PNG defeated Aces 9-4.
Kiaka said the progressive competition points were posted after every three games.
