Comrade Trustee announces new chief executive

CHARLIE Gilichibi has been appointed new chief executive officer for Comrade Trustee Services Ltd (CTSL).
CTSL is the trustee for Defence Force’s retirement benefit fund.
CTSL, in a paid advertisement, said Gilichibi would start his new role on Jan 27.
CTSL statutory manager Sitiveni Weleilakeba said Gilichibi would bring a wealth of experience from the superannuation industry to CTSL.
“After having gone through a rigorous and comprehensive recruitment process, a decision was made to appoint Gilichibi to the CEO’s office, among other reputable candidates,” he said.
“As a visionary executive leader, he is passionate, resilient and results driven who aims to be catalyst for transformational change, which is aligned with CTSL’s strategic approach to serving its members.”
Gilichibi served for three years as chief officer for members’ services with National Superannuation Fund Ltd (Nasfund). Prior to that, he served for three years as chief operating officer for Nambawan Super Ltd.
He was the recipient of PNGID 2010 young director of the year award, being recognised for his leadership as a director for Transparency International PNG then and holds a master of business administration from the University of Papua New Guinea.
