Comrade Trustee, Tisa sign agreement

COMRADE Trustee Services Ltd (CTSL) members can now use the products and services offered by the Teachers Savings and Loan Society Ltd (Tisa) following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) yesterday.
CTSL chief executive officer John Auna said its strategic alliance with Tisa would benefit its members in terms of their short term financial needs.
Auna said CTSL as a superannuation fund only provided long term savings service and decided to form the partnership in recognition of its members short term financial needs.
“Savings and loans is part of promoting the savings culture within our membership for their financial needs in the short and medium term,” he said.
“Superannuation as we know is for long term retirement and members are not allowed under the act (Superannuation Fund Act of 2000) to access those money’s until they retire.
“CTSL’s core business as trustees to the defence force retirement fund is managing long term retirements but we recognise and appreciate that our members also have short term financial needs.”
Tisa group chief executive officer Michael Koisen said the signing of the MoU marked the start of a new beneficial partnership.
