Conference planned

THE PNG Education International will be hosting a landowners’ conference next August in Port Moresby.
Organiser Induwa Cummings said there would be discussions and workshops to educate landowners on sustainable development programmes.
They will also be educated on financial management, investment, leadership, legal elements, sustainable development and access to market for smallholder farmers.
“Our people have a lot of resources and receive substantial royalties, but converting that into sustainable projects or investing into other scalable initiatives require guided decisions (which) is not easily available,” Cummings said.
“We are where we are because we didn’t know what we signed.
“The only way to make change for our future generations is to educate ourselves. Our mission is to ensure that future generations have the resources they need.”
