Congratulations Pangu Pati

Letters

CONGRATULATIONS Pangu Pati and the people of Morobe for giving new life to Papua New Guinea’s original and pioneer political party.
Where else can this revival take place but at the party’s birthplace, where former stalwarts Sir Michael T Somare and Tony Voutas (former member for Markham) and their team started all those years ago.
I am sure Sir Michael is happy with how the general election is turning out for Pangu, especially when everyone else has been thinking that the party is at its end and given up its place to National Alliance.
However, getting elected is one thing, the real character of the party and its elected members will be tested when the next parliament sits and the real business of delivering to meet people’s expectations begins.
Finally, I would like to congratulate all the members elected from the province, especially my former colleagues in football and schoolmates Patrick Basa and Dr Kobi Bomareo for their victory.
This maybe the beginning of a new era for the province and the country.
Well done all.
