Congregation raising funds

Faith

A LUTHERAN congregation at Musep village in Morobe’s Kabwum has been working to raise funds to build a new church building to replace the existing infrastructure, a spokesman says.
Robin Runukah Siwick, leader of the proposed church building project, said the congregation had been using the same building since 1961 and needed a new building for fellowship.
Siwick said more than 300 people organised themselves to do fundraising and contribute towards building a new church for the congregation.
He said Musep was the birthplace of a pioneer missionary Bungena, who was inspired by his faith to go to Kulungtufu village in Finschhafen in 1918 to meet missionary John Friel.
