OUTGOING Education Minister Joseph Yopyyopy has urged new Minister Jimmy Uguro to carry on from where he left.
Speaking during a handover ceremony yesterday in Port Moresby, Yopyyopy said there was limited or no time to come up with new policies.
He said whatever policies they had, they needed to see them through and have them implemented.
“Otherwise it’s just policies after policies implemented by different governments and ministers and you see nothing,” the outgoing minister.
“So if we are going to concentrate on improving the quality of education in the country you have to see through whatever has been implemented before we implementing new policies because you have so many policies to achieve.”
Uguro assured Yopyyopy that he would continue from where he stopped and would change if needed.
