Cops not above law

On Tuesday, The National reported a judge ordering a number of police officers to pay a fellow officer K30,000 for assaulting him.
We welcome the judge’s decision, but we see it as injustice because officers are not above the law and allowing them to compensate another officer who was assaulted is not fair.
Can these officers be punished and sent to Bomana?
They are officers of the law and should know better.
Walking free after assaulting a fellow officer is unfair.
Sometimes, the judges should be considerate when ruling on such matters.
