Cops urged to show dedication

Momase police chief ACP Giossi Labi has appealed to police officers in the Momase region to be more self-disciplined and community oriented.
He said the announcement by the police commissioner on Wednesday about the salary increment was a good sign.
He called on all officers to be punctual and dedicated in their profession.
“We must put in extra effort and work harder since our pay has been increased.
“It is not our own money but taxpayers’ money.
“So we must appreciate it and respect the rules and laws and must not abuse the public but work alongside with them to ensure the communities are safe,” he said.
Mr Labi said that officers must maintain their self-respect by not chewing betelnut while attending to complaints, smoke in public and their dressings must be neat and tidy, and report for work on time.
