Corporate 9s deadline extended to March 18

DUE to the slowness in submitting expressions of interest from teams, this year’s Corporate 9s rugby league competition has extended the deadline for current and new teams to give them  time to register.
Sportzevent event director Ivan Ravu said, so far, six teams had confirmed their participation.
They are Funeral Home, Ox & Palm, Digicel (PNG) Ltd, Bank South Pacific, Bishop Brothers Engineering Ltd and ANZ Bank.
He said the competition was scheduled for April once entries were finalised and registration processes completed.
The reigning champions NCDC-YLM had yet to confirm their participation.
They will be defending the Cup.
Ravu said the deadline was extended to March 18 prior to the team managers’ meeting on March 28. The competition will start ion April 15.
