THE Private Corporate Netball Competition will head into the semifinals this weekend as 34 teams battle for a spot in the big dance next Saturday.
Teams from division 1-16 and the premier group are scheduled to kick off finals matches at 1pm on Sunday at the Rita Flynn Outdoor Courts.
“It’s netball showdown this weekend,” PCNC executives said of Sunday’s blockbuster round.
“Teams are reminded to play in the spirit good sportsmanship keeping in mind the vision and objective of PCNC when we take the courts this weekend.
“Due to the number of queries after last weekend’s games, team reps are required to sit with the scorer during the game. Any queries must be dealt with before the games resumes.”
The main showdown to wrap up the semifinals will be between Bank South Pacific (BSP) Financial Group and Post Courier in the premier division.
BSP were defeated by rival Moore Printing 10-7 last week and they would aim to avenge their loss against Post Courier, who knocked out Nambawan Super 12-4 in the knockouts.
Moore Printing are on bye for grand final next week. The semifinal is expected to be competed at a faster pace with intensity on the courts to decide who faces Moore Printing in the premiership decider next Saturday.
The winner of the division one match between Kina Bank and Theodist will advance to face Pacific Industries (Pepsi) in the final. The grand final winner of this division will be elevated to compete in the premier group next season.
