Corporation supporting Goroka show with K15,000

THE Coffee Industry Corporation (CIC) is assisting the Goroka Show with a K15,000 sponsorship, in recognition of Eastern Highlands being a big coffee production province.
CIC acting chief executive officer Charles Dambui said coffee was a leading cash crop in Eastern Highlands and the show was an avenue to showcase farmers’ efforts in whatever way they were contributing to the agriculture sector.
Dambui said a team from the CIC would conduct awareness on coffee-related topics and provide information to farmers.
“Coffee and culture go together and we are pleased to be part of this year’s Goroka Show by showing our support through this sponsorship,” he said.
The 2021 Goroka Show is scheduled to run from Sept 17 to 19 in Goroka.
