IN our article on November 23 entitled “No power deal to use coal, says Blacklock”, we reported two statements made by the PNG Power acting managing director.
The first was that Mayur Resources Ltd had made an unsolicited proposal to PNG Power for a purchase agreement using coal-fired electricity. The second statement suggested that Mayur did not have the experience or ability to build the Mayur Resources Enviro Energy Park.
We accept that there was no basis for either statement and that the statements are not true.
We unreservedly apologise to Mayur for publishing the statements.
