Correctional Services officers want commisioner’s post advertised

SENIOR officers in Correctional Services are concerned about the delay in advertising the vacancy of the service’s commissioner’s post.
The officers who did not want to be named said a National Executive Council decision (number NG90 dated Nov 7 last year) approved for the vacancy to be advertised immediately but the administration had delayed the process.
They said although the acting commissioner was there, the institution needed a permanent commissioner for the running of the institution and they wanted the vacancy to be published so aspiring candidates could apply for the post.
They said the delay was unnecessary and called on the personnel management and the human resource departments of the service to comply with the NEC decision and publish the vacancy.
