Councilors waiting for funds

I WOULD like to shed some light on how the Wau-Bulolo ULLG and its administration are run and the frustration the 14 councilors are faced with.

We have waited for months now since being sworn into office for our ward development funds to be distributed to each of us so that we can at least start some developments in our wards.

Our people are constantly pestering about this and some of us have been called all sorts of names, sweared at and even threatened as well.

We know that last year’s K500, 000 is still unaccounted for as well as this year’s K500, 000.

It is almost the end of the year and all accounts will be closed soon. What is our manager doing about this?

Why have they delayed giving out this K1 million as well as the mining equities from Morobe mining?

Should we petition the cmbudsman commission to come and audit our accounts?

This smells fishy and one can see it is like a syndicate controlling us and we are not in control.

Since the death of the lord mayor and with the deputy lord mayor an inactive female, it seems that our admin is in disarray compared to the other LLGs in Bulolo district as highlighted by Sam Basil.

We all agree with our MP as we need to restructure our admin before effective service delivery reaches our wards.
