“There are possibilities out there.”
Marape said there was market availability for products from the LNG resource.
“From where I see it, the State will do everything possible to ensure we also market our resources,” he said.
“We also have strategic bilateral partners who are great consumers in energy consumption.

“Japan, the number one LNG consumer who is now our traditional, or in fact, our foundation, customer as far as PNG LNG is concerned.
“The biggest LNG consumer is Japan, but the one emerging and that may take over Japan is China.
“PNG will do everything possible to ensure our market is secured.
“In this Papua LNG, the joint venture partners will sell their own product.

Meanwhile, Marap said the production of gas for this project would see it produce about 5.4 million to 5.8 million tonnes of gas annually.

  • Its time for Gulf Province and its People to reap the benefits of Papua LNG and improve their Province and livelihood. Thank youTotal

  • Yes, but if only they inclusively come together to recognise every clans and tribes and not leaving anyone out. Courts system should recognise selfish greedy people and punish them accordingly which should deter such attitude. Minority clans must be maintained as MINORITY and not gave selfish people try to change their status all of a sudden due to greed.

  • Yes yes its time for Gulf people to rip this gas benifits and lets get them out of the streets of Port Moresby , young and old and do some thing good just once for Gulf Province. This action will be a great example for other rich provinces to follow . This is one way to take back PNG and get our youth and people to go back home and work their own land , think of the pride you do for your provinces
