A MAN charged with the sexual penetration of a minor has had his case adjourned to Sept 3 and his bail of K800 extended.
Nathaniel Tade, 25, understood the charge when read to him by Magistrate Garry Unjo in the Committal Court in Waigani.
The bail conditions required him to reside at Section 499, Allotment 21, Ensisi Valley, at his father’s house, not to interfere with potential State witnesses, not to leave Port Moresby without the court’s approval, not commit any indictable offence while on bail, to appear in court when his case is called and report to the court registry every two weeks on Mondays between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Tade, from East New Britain, allegedly sexually penetrated an eight-year-old girl at Ensisi in Port Moresby on July 27, 2018. The girl is now 10 years old.
Magistrate Unjo gave police time to gather evidence.

  • Sick men and a rapist is allowed to walk around freely. He should be locked away awaiting trial.. this is outrages.

  • What was the basis for allowing him bail? What was the difference between this case and other similar cases that were refused bail? Is this some kind of hypocrisy?
