A WOMAN who denied in court that she swore at her sister-in-law has been ordered to bring witnesses to support her.

The sister-in-law Maria Koma, a resident of Bewapi in 9-Mile, Lae, took the woman to court alleging that she had even suggested that Koma have sex with her brother (the woman’s husband).

Koma and the woman appeared before magistrate Nasaling Bingtau at the Lae District Court yesterday.

Koma in her affidavit told the court that what the accused said had tarnished her name.

The court heard that on April 8, the woman while under the influence of alcohol went to 9-Mile area and argued with a man before turning on her sister-in-law and a teacher’s wife.

Koma alleged that the accused also blamed her for making a young man ill through spells.

The woman admitted in court that she had consumed alcohol but denied being drunk.

She denied swearing at the complainant. Bingtau adjourned the case to next month and ordered both parties to bring witnesses.
