City Pharmacy Ltd Group charity, CPL and City Pharmacy Group’s charity arm has donated K70,000 to support Ginigoada Foundation life skills programme, according to CPL.
Chief executive officer Navin Raju said the foundation had been helping disadvantaged youths develop financial literacy skills and on-the-job training.
“We are proud to support life skills training in PNG, and managing one’s money is one important life skill to be resilient and thrive – it is one of CPL Foundation’s major objectives to help support education initiatives of impact in PNG,” he said.
Raju said the partnership would enable the foundation to fund resources, training materials and logistics for the youth programmes.
Ginigoada Foundation manager Rabura Aiga said the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic had affected businesses operation, economy and funding was put on hold, but this re-engagement was a positive indication of normalcy, thus the training partnership would impact the lives of the engaging communities.
“So far, we have graduated over 30,000 participants from our programme through CPL Group’s partnership support,” he said.
Aiga said CPL Foundation had since fostered a cordial partnership with the Ginigoada Foundation in 2015 and had provided support by becoming its major sponsor of the Ginigoada youth financial literacy skills programme.
