CITY Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) Group of Companies has recorded another impressive half-year before tax profit of K4.7 million for the period ending June 30 this year.
During the same period last year, CPL made K3.9 million.
Chairman Mahesh Patel said in a report yesterday the half-year profit was due to increased sales in all division and strong half-year trading.
Patel said the total revenue was K115.2 million compared to K99.6 million last year, a K15.63 million, or 15.7%, increase on the previous year.
“Sales increased in all divisions and we see a strong second-half trading,” Patel.
“The Badili supermarket was opened last Aug 26 and a new pharmacy outlet in Vision City is expected to open this month.
“Our continued focus on customers, through investment in price, range, merchandise and quality will continue to contribute to the sales growth.” Patel added.
The group would further improve its supply chain, he said.
