CITY Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) yesterday launched its 2011 “free  education” promotion in Port Moresby.

The mega competition gives each of the 29 students scholarship opportunities from Grades one to 12.

Speaking during the promotion launch at the CPL’s showroom, marketing coordinator Anthony Yan said it was a continuation of what they had started in 2009.

“As our way of giving back to the society, we have thought of this free education programme because we truly believe in moulding our children as future generations,” Yan said.

He said as future leaders, it was necessary for the children to be equipped with a good education to be effective leaders.

Since the inception of the competition, CPL has assisted 37 students by committing to pay their school fees.

The competition is limited to CPL’s loyal customers who are members of their loyalty programme.

The loyalty programme is titled real reward where customers earn points while they shop.

The earned points can be used to exchange for an item of their choice.

Yan said it has been the company’s way of thanking their loyal customers for continuously shopping at their shops and urging them to spend at any CPL stores to get a chance at winning.

The competition which started  on Monday, ends on Feb 6.

Yan said the promotion only applies public schools.
