City Pharmacy Limited (CPL) Group presented new apparel worth K3,700 to its netball team at their Waigani showroom in Port Moresby yesterday.
CPL managing director Mahesh Patel presented the uniforms and polo shirts to the employees who play for the team in the Private Companies Netball Competition.
He said despite the presentation being short, CPL was passionate about showing its appreciation not only towards the team but all the employees of the Group.
“This is an extra incentive,” Patel said.
“We’ve designed the new uniforms as an extra encouragement for our players to boost team spirit.
“We are lucky enough to have coach Oti Lasagavibau, who was an assistant coach of the national side.
“She’s going to take a week off to train the girls to win us the trophy.
“We encourage our 3,000 staff members to play a lot of sports.
“We organise volleyball, soccer and rugby league.”
Meanwhile, team captain Rose Rauka thanked Patel and the Group for providing the apparel.
“We appreciate CPL for supporting us every season,” she said.
“It’s good to go out and play against other organisations.
