FIFTY winners of the City Pharmacy Ltd back-to-school promotion around the country received a laptop each this week.
In Port Moresby, 18 winners were announced on Monday after the draws of CPL businesses such as Stop N Shop, City Pharmacy, Prouds and Jack’s.
The promotion saw more than 50,000 entries in Port Moresby alone, according to marketing manager Regina Narokobi.
Ivan Larry, one of the winners, said he was happy to win a laptop.
“I have been a CPL customer for a couple of years,” he said.
“It will be great for my grandson.
“So I guess, it is a great prize for him.”
Winner Dorothy Kaema said: “Just in 2017, I bought one laptop but it was damaged.
“So I was trying to buy a new one but had other commitments.
“I am so happy that I have won this new laptop.
“I will give it to my son because he will do his school work and help him to do his research.
“I thank CPL and Stop N Shop.”
Port Moresby General Hospital nurse Leah Lucas could not believe that she won a laptop after spending only K150.
Ben Keimali, who shops at Prouds Waigani, spent around K600 to enter the draw.
“I work just around the corner and used to shop at Jack’s,” he said.
“But Prouds came by.
“This laptop will be for my kids who go to St Joseph’s.”
Narokobi thanked customers for shopping at CPL.
