Credit Corp creates new role, appoints new boss

Karen Mathers has been appointed by Credit Corporation as chief risk officer.
It is a newly-created role which encompasses all financial and non-financial risk in the business as well as the compliance functions.
Mathers has more than 20 years of risk management expertise at organisations such as Shell of Australia, Ernst & Young and financial services companies including ANZ and BankVic.
She will lead Credit Corporation’s risk function throughout its PNG and Pacific operations.
Credit Corporation chairman Syd Yates said: “This is a critical appointment for Credit Corporation and underscores our commitment to governance and risk, in support of our broader commitment to all of our stakeholders and the communities we serve.
