KINA Bank customers in Port Moresby have been urged to use the bank’s online services when some of its branches are closed.
Executive general manager banking and country head Lesieli Taviri advised customers to use its digital and online platforms for their transactions.
The bank closed its branches in Vision City, Jackson Airport, Boroko and Waigani because of the election-related violence.
“With the continuous security issues, it is an opportune time for our customers to use our online platforms at their convenience or contact the call centre for assistance to set up online platforms,” Taviri said.
“Opening and closing of branches may be impacted, but we continue to monitor daily and make decisions balancing personal safety and customer banking needs.
“The safety of our staff and customers is paramount.”
Kina Bank’s branches downtown and at Harbour City are open.
