GOVERNOR-General Grand Chief Sir Bob Dadae has advised a group of cadet officers to see their training as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully towards their careers.
The officers from the Joint Service College recently visited Government House in Port Moresby.
The college based at the Igam Barracks in Lae was established in 2016 to train cadet officers of the PNG Defence Force, police and the Correctional Services.
Sir Bob commended the officer cadets for their career choices in the disciplined forces.
“Congratulations for making the right decision to join the disciplined forces. It is a big decision you made,” he said.
“You will become officers with added responsibilities. The intensive training you have undergone will prepare you to face the challenges ahead.
“Those of you in the army, you are responsible for our national security, police force is responsible for upholding law and order and the correctional service to rehabilitate those who have offended.”
