Dafa to captain PNG select side

Enga Mioks back-rower Eddie Dafa will captain a Papua New Guinea select side against New South Wales U23 Country in Port Moresby this weekend.
Dafa, from Kainantu in Eastern Highlands, will be assisted by Lae Snax Tigers five-eighth Edwin Ipape.
Goroka Lahanis premiership winning coach Glen Nami, pictured, who is assistant to head coach Stanley Tepend, made the announcement when naming the starting line-up at the National Football Stadium yesterday.
Gates at the National Football Stadium will open at 11am on Sunday.
The first curtain-raiser will see the national women’s champions, Southern Confederate, take on an Australian Defence Force women’s side at 12pm.
At 1pm, the Australian Defence Force men’s team will do battle with the Southern Confederate men’s side.
The main game between PNG select side and NSW Country U23 kicks off at 3pm.
