Damba to get new health centre

Highlands, Normal

THE Damba tribesmen living at the border of North Waghi and Kerowagi districts, Simbu province, will soon have a new health centre.
The new health centre will cost K500,000.
The money will come from public funds which Kerowagi MP Guma Wau has access to.
About 5,000 people from the Damba tribe from Kerowagi do not have access to medical service because successive governments and Members of Parliament have considered them to be part of the North Waghi electorate.
The K500,000 will come from the K10  million allocated to the district support improvement programme for the electorate.
The health centre should be ready by the end of next month.
