THE Corporate Touch Port Moresby (CTPM) has set the dates for the start of its 2010 season.
With plans to make it more available to the Port Moresby city residents in both the corporate sector and the communities, CTPM will be hosting its trials during the weekends.
The trials will run throughout the four weeks of the preseason competition starting on Sunday at the Sir John Guise Stadium.
Players will be competing in four divisions of the open men’s, open women’s senior, mix and men’s masters.
In the premier division, which is the open men’s, teams will be battling for the Michael Walo Cup in honour of the late president Michael Walo.
In its first meeting held last week, the CTPM executive agreed for the new season to start on Sunday with its preseason running for four weeks.
Season proper will follow from March 14.
The executives also decided that the 22 clubs that pay up their club affiliation fee of K1,600 by the March 7 will secure their spots for the season proper.
