Deadline for nominations approaching

NOMINATIONS for women ahead of the Bank South Pacific Papua New Guinea National Snooker Titles close on Monday, as preparations for the tournament gather pace.
The National is a platinum sponsor of the titles.
According to a statement earlier this month, PNG Billiards and Snooker Association president John Chan said women were urged to nominate and register with a fee of K150 by 9pm on Monday.
He said the fee for men was K200, which must be paid by 9pm on Sept 3.
Forty players each are expected to compete in the men’s and women’s categories. Junior players are also encouraged to nominate and register.
“The juniors, both men and women, must be under the age of 18 and must pay a fee of K100 to participate,” Chan said.
He said players withdrawing after the deadline would forfeit their fees.
