Deal provides greater benefits: Manager

THE Family Medical Insurance agreement between the Porgera management and the Mining and Allied Workers Union is the highlight of the Porgera award agreement, according to a statement.
The PJV (Porgera Join Venture) senior manager for human resources and employee development David Lilley said the management and the union had a functional relationship that had continued through to the negotiation process of the 2019-2022 award agreement.
He said over the years there had been a good outcomes for the company and the union in ensuring greater employee benefits.
“We treat each other with respect and we realise that there is a mutual benefit in everything that we talk about,” Lilley said.
“I’m confident that this agreement will improve the financial, health and education outcomes for employees, dependents and community members as well.”
