Deal with illegal power connections

Letters

MORE than half of Western Highlands is using free power through illegal connections.
Power theft is widely seen in households in rural and urban centres.
Is PNG Power Ltd aware of this?
It seems the PNG Power management is incompetent.
It appears some people in the management are involved in corruption and malpractices by not addressing such issues and pretending that things are going well.
What is the point of holding high positions if you can’t plan and execute?
The Government and the PNG Power board have played their part.
Is there anything that they have not done that they should be blamed for?
Stop passing the buck and get down to the root causes of issues and start applying strategic measures and rectify this issue.
It is unfair that a few people and businesses are paying for electricity while the rest are using it for free.
There is no elf-reliance and sustainability when the organisation cannot do anything but continue to allow people to steal from the Government.
Are there any plans to address illegal connections in Western Highlands?
