Deal with officer involved in accident

Letters

READ with interest in The National on Feb 3, that Waka Daimon, from Ikiawa village in Watut local level government (LLG), Bulolo, appeared in the Lae Committal Court on Jan 29, for negligent driving resulting in the death of a young girl last August.
He is the president of Watut LLG, chairman of forestry and a member of Morobe’s provincial executive council.
As a leader, he is subjected to the leadership code.
My questions to the relevant authorities are: Why was he not suspended from office to await his trial?
Are we promoting corruption here?
Can the minister for Inter-Government Relations and Ombudsman Commission look into this matter to uphold the integrity of the Government of Papua New Guinea?
He has to answer for his actions.

Anti-Corruption Fighter,
