HELA Wigmen fullback Norman Brown says donning the SP PNG Hunters jersey will be a dream come true and he cannot wait to take on the Sunshine Coast Falcons in the Intrust Super Cup’s rivalry round tomorrow.
The round four fixture will be at the Hunters home ground of Bycroft Oval with the hosts coming off a bruising 26-14 win over the Mackay Cutters while the Falcons knocked off common foe the Ispswich Jets 36-20.
The two-time Digicel Cup premiership winner was named on the wing by coach Matthew Church as a replacement for injured Brendon Gotuno, who broke his right arm early in the Cutters game.
Brown, who is a product of the Gahuku Off-Season League in Goroka, told The National on Wednesday that he aimed to make the most of his opportunity.
“Playing rugby league in my teenage days while in high school, it has always been my dream to play for Hunters one day and finally that moment is here and I am grateful for the opportunity,” he said.
