Defending champs keen on another title

SOUTHERN Region Nines defending champions Rovanama still have a thirst for more titles as they head into the fourth day of play.
Unbeaten after three games in the pool stages Rovanama coach Chris Enara was positive about his team’s progress since Day 1 last Sunday but pointed out some areas which need improvement.
“I think for now our performance have been a little scrappy and slow but we are fortunate to get points in the right times of the game but overall I am pleased with what we’ve achieved,” Enara said.
“There’s room for improvement and we’ll have to polish up in some areas but hopefully we’ll be there to defend our title.”
He said his side had lost experience in the side but they had managed well enough.
“We have lost some experience in the side. We’re just sticking with local boys from the Aroma Coast and they’ve really proven that I can count on them but we have to go into the finals with a positive attitude so we can get the result we want.”
“Well we’ve won three of our pool games so far now so when we head into the finals, we will just take one team at a time, we don’t want over think things otherwise we might lose our focus,” he said.
